Acrylic
- Acrylic portraits have a similar look
to oil renderings, but some say not the same depth. Acrylics dry
more quickly between sittings and are therefore somewhat less time
consuming to render. This media provides a very good value for those wishing a
full color painting at a very affordable price with less wait time. All
acrylic portraits are rendered on stretched medium
texture duck canvas which is acid-free for protection against
discoloration and to provide long life. Original is named, dated, and signed by the artist,

- The ultimate media for those desiring the very
best. Oil provides a deeper, textured,
heirloom look ... the same look the masters
achieved with their works. Because rendering in oil requires a great
deal more time and materials are more expensive, oil portraits are priced higher than the other
media offered. As with all of Cassandra's work, we expect the value
of her originals to increase with time. This will be true especially
with her oil renderings.
All oil portraits are rendered on stretched medium
texture duck canvas which is acid-free for protection against

Matting - There is nothing quite like our
own custom cut oval matting to set off your graphite, pen
& ink, or Ebony & Ivory portrait. For Graphite and Pen &
Ink, a black mat is the the standard matting. For the Ebony & Ivory series a gray or
weatherwood matting is usually the best choice, but other colors are available on
request. Oil and acrylic portraits are not matted.
Each
portrait is precisely measured for the aspect ratio of the composition and then mat is cut
accordingly in the correct oval proportions. For an even
greater look of richness, the double matting (usually black on weatherwood) is our premium offer.
Matting protects your portrait from contacting the glass in the
frame. By ordering matting for your
portrait, all that's left to do is to frame it in the standard frame size
thus eliminating expensive frame shop expense. You won't find a
better value or a better presentation for your portrait!

Multi-pet portraits
are priced based on size and complexity of composition. The price
for the first additional pet in a portrait is typically in the range of $40 to
$65 for all media, except oil.* For more than one additional pet in
a portrait we use a graduated scale (i.e. the more pets in a portrait, the
less costly it is per additional pet). Multi-pet portraits are
usually not suited for smaller sized portraits. Please forward your photos for an accurate estimate
whenever requesting a multi-pet portrait.
* Oil multi-pet portraits are priced slightly higher per additional pet.
